If you have heard that you are selling your home as four walls then you will be mistaken. A lot of potential buyers look beyond your four walls when they come to look around. If you have clutter everywhere and lack space then this can put them off from putting in an offer. It might be a good idea to declutter your home before opening it up for viewings. Two reasons for this, the first being that buyers won’t be able to envision their own belongings filling the space. The second reason is that if your home is cluttered it will seem a lot smaller than it is. Open up that space and make it seem like there is ample space and storage available.
When it comes to selling your home, it isn’t just the interior that you have to think about. Once you have sorted this, head outside to the garden. Your garden and outdoor space need to be warm and welcoming to guests and visitors. This is the first thing people will see when they turn up at your home, if it doesn’t look appealing or well-managed then you may not get a lot of offers.
Finally, when it comes to selling your home it is important that you don’t sell it in a fixer-upper state. Two reasons for this, one is that not many buyers want to buy a home that needs a lot of maintenance. The second reason is that it will knock a great chunk of cash off the asking price. You may have gathered up quite a repairs to-do list while living in your property. Some of these might not be urgent, however, if they are then they will need to be done straight away. Something like a leaky roof for example will need to be repaired instantly as it can cause more damage if left.
