On behalf of Infinity Drain I had the opportunity to attend a press event for the unveiling of a newly constructed home in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Bridge House LA is owned and designed by architect Dan Brunn. His vision for the construction incorporated designing a home that serves as a demonstration of innovative systems and forward thinking process.
Upon entering is the living room with a feature “living” wall.
The contemporary living room with large scale abstract artwork.
The kitchen with a dividing cabinetry that separates the dining area beyond.
I love the indoor / outdoor concept and retractable doors that opens up the dining room with views overlooking the lap pool.
The sky becomes the ceiling!
Full height windows and wall panels create interesting architecture.
A sitting room / family room off the hallway corridor which leads to the private areas (bedrooms and bathrooms).
The art lined hallway corridor leading to the private spaces.
Off the hallway corridor are the private areas, which includes three bedrooms and bathrooms. One of the guest bathrooms features a walk in shower and views to the exterior and pool. Here is a glimpse at the linear drain by Infinity Drain.
I love the sleek contemporary look of a linear drain.
Another angle featuring the Infinity Drain.
Another bathroom adjacent to a bedroom. A wall mounted toilet and flush system from Geberit.
At the very end of the hallway is the master bedroom.
The stunning master bathroom.
The sleek minimalist Infinity Drain in the master bathroom shower.
A lap pool and outdoor cooking area on the lower level of the home.
The lower level also features a complete kitchen and living space.
Just off the outdoor kitchen area this living room space is great for indoor and outdoor living.
From the living area is a corridor leading to a full bath and room.
The bathroom has full height glass sliding doors and a seamless with the floor level Infinity Drain.
A fun music and entertaining room. I love the clerestory windows.
Thank you for including me at the press preview for The Bridge House LA!

This past week I had the opportunity to check out Rewire Gallery on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles when I stopped by for a special event with friends.
The event featured the lighting design collection Tekio by designer Anthony Dickens.
The lighting display at Rewire Gallery.
More unique collections of floor lamps, table lamps, pendants, and sconces.

Thanks for having us!
There are many options for designing closets and closet door styles. Recently, I helped a client revamp their existing bedroom closet and one of the challenges was coming up with alternatives for the closet doors that were not a standard flat panel white closet door as well as a look to work with the existing bedroom (which we’d worked on prior); the closet redesign came after.
A variety of closet designs and door style concepts.
To help convey ideas & directions for the project, I put together these concept boards for my client for feedback. They opted to go with a wood stain door frame inset with mirrors. The wood finish ties in with bedroom furnishings they just had refinished and the mirrors are practical as full length mirrors. An added bonus is that the closet runs along a narrow hallway and as they say, mirrors help give the appearance of more spaciousness.

These shutter style slat doors are something unique.
If you’re looking for something fun and graphic, could always wallpaper too!

I was recently working on concepts for a small bathroom remodel with a budget to allow for only minor cosmetic renovations. In the process of putting together inspiration and direction for the project, I came across some bold, colorful vanities — and thought — why not go for a “statement vanity”!?
This concept board was actually for a project several years ago but I still love that lavender vanity!
Bright pink is so fun and cheerful!
Yellow, of course, is happy - makes for a great kid’s bathroom.
Definitely vibrant and bold with orange and colorful wallpaper.
The balance of white and yellow give this statement vanity a very clean bathroom look.
In my search, I found some colorful vanities available ready made and online.
Super sleek and modern.
A green vanity is another statement color!

A long time client of mine, who’s home I helped design awhile back with an online design for her living room, followed by her father’s family room as a surprise birthday gift - both projects involved the flat rate room design where I put together the layouts and furnishings selections and she took care of the ordering and implementing, resulted in helping with two more very recent projects: her daughter’s new home in Waco, TX and her son’s college dorm room. She emailed me last weekend asking if I could help with a fast track project. Her and her husband were going to visit their daughter for the weekend and wanted help putting both the living and dining rooms together. In just two days time I put together the furniture layouts, furnishing selections, and concept boards. She shopped over the weekend locally in addition to ordering online, and the photos below are the results of progress in less than one week (still progress, but coming together!). Two days later, she asked if I could help with her son’s college dorm room! From start to progress, below are the measurements she emailed, the layouts for furniture placement and sizes provided, and the furnishings concept boards (selections and resources emailed with).
