Our current situation is leading us to take our business online more than ever before. The power of social media marketing is an important tool in all of this, too. I have long been providing online design; since the early days of 2006. However, it’s always been a balance of local in person clients along with online services. Recently, as with many of us, the in person relationship has had to transition to a completely virtual world. Many businesses, such as showrooms and stores have had to adapt to a completely digital world.
Embello Inc has published a great article regarding our current economic situation and the adaptability business’s have taken to maintain an online presence. Happy to be mentioned in this feature about the ways I’m including online design services to my clients.
Check out the entire post here on the Embello site.
Happy to be included as a contributor in Fixr.com report, “Paint and Color Trends in 2020”. Read the full report here!
“Discover tomorrow’s trends today” - In cooperation with Heimtextil, international design and trend experts have analyzed the latest trend themes that will be shown in an extravagant presentation at the Heimtextil trade show taking place January 7-10th in Frankfurt, Germany. In addition, this year the focus is on the topic of sustainability. I’m looking forward to attending and covering the upcoming fair for the very first time and especially excited to be there for the celebration and party for the show’s 50th anniversary!
This year’s theme, “WHERE I BELONG” addresses layered identities via the five diverse Heimtextil 20/21 trends. MAXIMUM GLAM turns the glamorous life tech-savvy, PURE SPIRITUAL finds balance in nature and mysticism, ACTIVE URBAN values utilitarian, adaptable solutions, whereas HERITAGE LUX celebrates rich historical legacies and MULTI-LOCAL embraces global cultural influences.
Establishing five worlds as spaces to experience, the Trend Space will also showcase 2D visualisations from the book as 3D spaces. Conceptual installations will actively engage visitors and motivate them to share their experiences by creating dynamic settings all about performance and interaction. For Trend Space, designers have committed themselves to a new material manifesto to conserve resources and promote sustainability.
The pure spiritual look.
The heritage luxe look.

Award-winning Mexican design and interiors brand Dupuis along with its equally iconic sister brand Becara from Spain opened their doors in the Miami Design District earlier this month, marking the official launch of both brands in the U.S.
Dupuis, founded in 1973, creates an experience where the language of artisanal and contemporary Mexican design unite in absolute harmony, redefining interior spaces and exuding Mexican modernism in its purest essence. Their philosophy is based on constant evolution within innovative design while never losing the Dupuis style.
The Becara brand is a lively and eclectic collection of accent furniture and home accessories founded in 1964. It is inspired in part by the original decorative antiques sourced worldwide for its first retail store in Madrid. Becara has grown to be one of the leading European companies in design, manufacturing, and distribution of furniture, home fabrics and interior design accessories for the home.
Back in the 60s in Spain, Becara’s founder Begoña Zunzunegui recognized an opportunity in the wholesale business of home decor and gifts. Inheriting exquisite taste from her family and knowledge of international markets, she focused her efforts on developing a virtually nonexistent market in Spain. She pioneered and was an integral collaborator of renowned wholesale fairs in Spain such as The Intergift Furniture Fair of Valencia, Expohogar in Barcelona, and The Furniture Fair in Madrid.
During the 80s, Becara as a brand forged into international markets and exhibited at the most prominent fairs in Europe: Salon du Meuble de Paris, Ambiente and Tendence in Frankfurt, Abitare il Tempo in Verona, Maison & Objet in Paris, Salone del Mobili Milan. Becara’s presence would exponentially increase as exports to 40 countries around the world set it apart. In 2000, Becara began its retail expansion, opening its first flagship store in Madrid.
From that moment on, Becara set the stage where wholesale and retail activities overlapped, expanding further in Spain as well as international markets such as Bogota, Casablanca, Lisbon, Mexico, and most recently, Miami in the Design District in the US.
Founded in 1973, Dupuis is an iconic, award-winning Mexican design and interiors brand that for decades has remained a pioneering influence in the Mexican market. Today, with more than 45 years in the luxury furnishings and interior design business, Dupuis is poised to promote Mexican modernism in its purest essence on an international scale.
Dupuis was started to offer furnishings and accessories with a distinctive style, creating an experience where the language of artisanal and contemporary Mexican design come together in harmony. The philosophy is based on constant evolution within innovative design while never losing the essence of the Dupuis style.
For more than four decades, Dupuis has been dedicated to the advancement of design, manufacturing, and distribution of furniture as well as home textiles and decorative objects in collaboration with Mexican artisans. Carefully selected designers and suppliers collaborate to create unique and unmatched pieces of quality and aesthetics.

On behalf of Infinity Drain I had the opportunity to attend a press event for the unveiling of a newly constructed home in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Bridge House LA is owned and designed by architect Dan Brunn. His vision for the construction incorporated designing a home that serves as a demonstration of innovative systems and forward thinking process.
Upon entering is the living room with a feature “living” wall.
The contemporary living room with large scale abstract artwork.
The kitchen with a dividing cabinetry that separates the dining area beyond.
I love the indoor / outdoor concept and retractable doors that opens up the dining room with views overlooking the lap pool.
The sky becomes the ceiling!
Full height windows and wall panels create interesting architecture.
A sitting room / family room off the hallway corridor which leads to the private areas (bedrooms and bathrooms).
The art lined hallway corridor leading to the private spaces.
Off the hallway corridor are the private areas, which includes three bedrooms and bathrooms. One of the guest bathrooms features a walk in shower and views to the exterior and pool. Here is a glimpse at the linear drain by Infinity Drain.
I love the sleek contemporary look of a linear drain.
Another angle featuring the Infinity Drain.
Another bathroom adjacent to a bedroom. A wall mounted toilet and flush system from Geberit.
At the very end of the hallway is the master bedroom.
The stunning master bathroom.
The sleek minimalist Infinity Drain in the master bathroom shower.
A lap pool and outdoor cooking area on the lower level of the home.
The lower level also features a complete kitchen and living space.
Just off the outdoor kitchen area this living room space is great for indoor and outdoor living.
From the living area is a corridor leading to a full bath and room.
The bathroom has full height glass sliding doors and a seamless with the floor level Infinity Drain.
A fun music and entertaining room. I love the clerestory windows.
Thank you for including me at the press preview for The Bridge House LA!

This past week I had the opportunity to check out Rewire Gallery on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles when I stopped by for a special event with friends.
The event featured the lighting design collection Tekio by designer Anthony Dickens.
